Islamic monuments include the Citadel and Mohamed Ali's Mosque. Other attractions are Old Cairo's Ben Ezra Synagogue and Hanging Church. Browsers at Khan el-Khalili Bazaar find exotic shopping. More than a half dozen golf courses around Cairo await offering visitors opportunities to putt near the Pyramids. Cairo has mild winters, hot and dry summers, and sand storms are common in spring.
